Laminitis can be occur for a variety of reasons, most commonly from an excess of NSC (non-structural carbohydrates) in the diet as well as toxins in the system, or a malfunctioning endocrine system. Less commonly a horse may also suffer from mechanical laminitis from excessive work on hard ground. Please click on each picture for more information.
